Procurement Specialist

This position
will operate within the Finance Team and its associated guidelines but
interface regularly with the Project and Construction teams to ensure purchases
are meeting all company requirements.
- Formulates requests for
proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk
evaluations.
- Administers and leads cross-functional teams
through the competitive bidding process, directs supplier negotiations,
develops, evaluates, and selects suppliers in accordance with company
policies.
- Strategically sources equipment and services using
a variety of methods to ensure an uninterrupted supply.
- Evaluates and selects suppliers based on their
ability to provide the goods/services and at costs consistent budgetary
expectations.
- Be responsible for negotiation of construction
contracts to minimize operational, legal and financial risks. Collaborates
with both internal and external legal counsel, as applicable.
- Tracks material/service costs and supplier
performance using approved metrics and tools.
Analyzes trends and makes corresponding sourcing decisions. - Engage in regular contact with suppliers.
- Leads and/or participates in meetings with
suppliers to rectify issues and to ensure suppliers are capable of meeting
and are aware of the requirements and expectations.
- Perform work according to the department KPI goals
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study,
(i.e. Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain
Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of
experience and technical training.
- Minimum of 5 years logistic, production planning and
vendor management experience in in construction/electrical/renewable
energy industry
- Experience working in a high-performance company
with multiple systems and organizations related to compliance, safety,
quality, and environmental management.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with internal
and external customers and suppliers
- Self-starter with excellent planning, project
management, work planning, and organizing skills.
- Strong computer skills with ability to utilize the
Microsoft Office suite of products e-binding system
- Good experience in forecast management, material
planning, material management, order delivery, supply & demand
analysis, risk analysis.
- Expert of logistic, production planning and vendor
management.
- Bias for action and change, strong problem-solving
skills.
- Logical, strong analytical skill.
- Strong negotiation skills, sourcing knowledge and
experience
